INVOLVE
Organisations involved: INVOLVE is supported by a Support Unit based in Eastleigh, Hampshire which is managed under the umbrella of the UK Clinical Research Network at the University of Leeds.
Aim:

  • A national advisory Group, funded by the Department of Health, which aims to promote and support active public involvement in NHS, public health and social care research.

  • To facilitate and promote meaningful and effective service user, patient and carer involvement, in all types of research relating to health and social care in North and East Devon
  • To promote a shift in research culture towards genuine service user and carer involvement.

 

Social Care Institute for Excellence (SCIE)
Aims:

  • To improve the experience of people who use social care by developing and promoting knowledge about good practice in the sector.
  • To develop resources using knowledge gathered from diverse sources and a broad range of people and organisations, which we share freely, supporting those working in social care and empowering service users.

 

NHS Centre for Involvement
Aim:

The Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education
Aim:

  • Service users and carers and students are facilitated to be involved in the quality assurance process in higher education via the Partnership Quality Assurance Framework. Their involvement is informed by the Trent Strategic Health Authority (2005) 'Principles for practice. Involving service users and carers in health care education and training' document.
